To celebrate the essence of international volunteering, Lattitude runs a competition each year for existing and recently returned volunteers. We also run the competition because we love to receive your amazing photos and footage and hear about your unique experiences. We find your stories inspiring and we know others do too. And of course we like to give away prizes!
Our competition runs during September and October each year and is available to all volunteers from the current and previous year. Eligible volunteers are notified about the competition via email early September and invited to enter. The winners are then announced and prizes awarded in November. There are three categories with prizes awarded for each.

Video - My Lattitude Story
Within this category, volunteers were asked to submit a short video they had prepared that captured what it meant to them to be a Lattitude volunteer, while at their placement and/or within their new community.

Photographic - My Best Three Images
Volunteers were encouraged to send in their best shot that captured each of the following:
- an action shot of them volunteering in their placement, really getting stuck in and contributing in a meaningful way
- an image portraying the essence of the local culture
- an image capturing a unique sight or beautiful scenery from their placement country
